Certainly nothing special here. Prices are higher than most good Italian restaurants, like Olive Garden, and 2 for 1 wine on Happy Hour is a joke. Their two glasses wouldn't equal one good glass at most restaurants (each about 1/3 full).

This place used to be great, but recently they are starting to fall fast on my radar. The food has been coming out lukewarm and pasta/fish has been coming out under-cooked. Not only is the food suffering, the wait staff is slacking as well. The last two (2) times I have been there, our waitress (Different waitress) took our order and disappeared to not be seen again until the check. We had runners bring our food and sat with empty drinks for a majority of the meals. This may not be the server's fault as the manager may be understaffed or purposely understaffing to save on payroll but one of the times when the waitress brought us our check we smelled a strong odor of cigarette smoke as if she had been outside on a smoke break while we were waiting for her. I used to love the food, especially the Calamari (Best I have ever had), but Calamari alone will not make me want to go back again anytime soon. I used to serve and know the rigors of the job, but I also knew that I had people who were spending their hard earned money to come in not just for the food but also for the experience. I know people have bad nights, as I did, but it just is happening far to frequent for me to justify spending that much money for a bad experience with sub-par food. I will give it some time before I will try them again.

I only order the minestrone soup here, and I always use carside. It is always consistent, and the service is friendly. They open at 11am for lunch. They do not include plastic ware in take away orders. . . So the server brought me full utensil set. Sweet!

The service started out fine. Megan was not very good about keeping drinks filled. Our food came out and my sisters meal didn't come out untill everyone else was almost done with their meal. We were there for my moms birthday dinner, I asked the hostess for a birthday surprise dessert and song for my mom. The check came and the dessert never made it. After asking again for the dessert. She finally brought it out and said "oh sorry didn't realize it was someone's bday" in the coldest possible tone. No song no candle. Just plain terrible and my sisters meal was not comped even tho it came out 15 min after every one else's . I have had great experiences at carabAs in Orlando . I will never visit this location again

Dinner was ok. They served our table lukewarm mashed potato four times. Each time they apologized and they were still cold. I asked them to try it and they refused. I was not impressed and I wish they checked their food after specific complaints.

Disappointing. Quality of food and service has really gone down. Had to send dry overlooked calamari back. They brought two bowls of pasta each for the "seconds" special at the same time. How tacky! Only good thing was the salad. Total tab of $54.00 before tip for lunch for two. Never again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
